Dr. A. Kourtney Nicholson

As the new owner of Arbor Place Eye Care in Douglasville, East Point,  and Woodstock, Dr. Nicholson is excited to address your vision care needs with a warm, friendly demeanor. 

Dr. Nicholson, a Mississippi native, graduated cum laude from Mississippi State University with a degree in Pre-Medical Psychology. She then graduated with honors from Illinois College of Optometry and completed a competitive residency in Ocular Disease at the Boston VA Healthcare System.  

Her special interests include medical optometry, geriatric eye care, eye trauma and emergencies, contact lenses, and speciality contact lenses. Dr. Nicholson is passionate about your eye health and eager to meet your vision care needs!

In her leisure time, Dr. Nicholson enjoys traveling extensively. She has traveled to approximately 60 countries and 6 continents. She also enjoys hip-hop dancing, hiking, reading, and learning foreign languages such as Thai and Spanish.

Dr. Sylvester Ayewoh


Dr. Sylvester Ayewoh is the newest doctor to our team and will be servicing patients at our Camp Creek location. He earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from  New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. He underwent extensive clinical training and rotations at renowned institutions in both Boston and Atlanta.


A dedicated professional, Dr. Ayewoh is a member of esteemed organizations such as the Georgia Optometric Association,  American Optometric Association, and Contact Lens Society of America. He has a keen interest in ocular disease management related to systemic conditions.


Dr. Ayewoh's guiding principles and philosophy revolves around treating patients as members of his extended family and providing patients with personalized care marked by patience, compassion, respect, kindness, and dignity at all times. He possesses strong commitment in ensuring easy and convenient access to quality eye care for all patients. 


In his spare time, he actively engages in volunteer work, travels, and most importantly, cherishes moments spent with his family.

Dr. Tommy Cung


Dr. Tommy Cung provides patient care at our Woodstock location. Dr. Cung was raised in Germantown, Maryland and received a bachelor’s degree from the  University of Maryland in Physiology and Neurobiology. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Cung then completed a residency in  Ocular Disease at the Jamaica Plain Veteran Affairs Hospital in Boston, MA.


He is grateful for the opportunity to take care of you and your family's visual needs. His approach to patient care stems from his upbringing and core values. Dr. Cung treats all patients as if they were family. He is attentive, detail-oriented, and very honest about his recommendations and treatment options.

Dr. Thu Vo


A native of Georgia, Dr. Thu Vo graduated summa cum laude from Georgia State University with a degree in Biology. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry for her graduate studies. While in optometry school, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and National Optometric Student Association (NOSA), an organization dedicated to serving minority and the under-served communities.

 

Dr. Vo completed her clinical rotations at the Birmingham VA Medical Center, Woolfson Eye Institute, and U&M Family Eye Care. In addition to primary eye care, treatment of ocular disease, and surgical co-management, she is also experienced in fitting soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses. Her positive energy and passion for delivering quality eye care is unparalleled. 

 

In her free time, Dr. Vo enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, outdoor activities, and community volunteering.


Dr. Dushika Ravendrarajah


Dr. Dushika Ravendrarajah was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She graduated with honors from the University of Western Ontario after completing a double major in Biology and Medical Sciences. She then went on to complete her post-graduate studies at the New England College of Optometry in the heart of Boston. While in optometry school, Dr. Ravendrarajah completed her clinical rotations at the Providence Community Health Care Center, Jacksonville Eye Care Center, Eye Centers of South Florida and the Bedford VA Hospital. 


She is experienced in providing quality primary optometric care, fitting contact lenses, surgical co-management and treating ocular disease. With her cheerful and caring demeanor, she strives to build a great rapport and atmosphere for each and every patient, while providing the best of care. 


In her spare time, you can find Dr. Ravendrarajah exploring the city with her friends, shopping for a killer pair of heels (or just about anything else), cooking and traveling.


Dr. Mario Martinez


Dr. Mario Martinez was born in Del Rio, Texas into a military family. He moved around the country often until being recruited to play tennis at East Carolina University. He graduated with a degree in Public Health and a minor in Biology. He then went on to graduate from Southern College of Optometry in the heart of Memphis. 


Dr. Martinez completed his clinical rotations at the Daytona Beach VA in Daytona Beach, Florida and Hall Eyecare Associates in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He has experience in contact lens fittings,  pre and post-operative management, and managing ocular disease. He takes pride in providing the best quality care possible while offering a warm atmosphere in clinical settings.


In his leisure time, he can be found playing tennis, volleyball, hiking, racing, traveling, finding new places to eat or new recipes to cook.
