General Manager and

Leila Freeman has been working in the optical industry since 2008 and has been happily married for five years. She is a certified paraoptometric coder by the Commission on Paraoptometric Certification and is passionate about her work. In her free time, Leila enjoys reading, watching movies, and solving puzzles. She is dedicated to furthering her education and will be obtaining additional certification in billing and coding later this year.

Hanna Harper,

Assistant General Manager and Social Media Coordinator


As a senior at Kennesaw State University, Hanna brings a fresh perspective and a creative touch to Arbor Place Eye Care’s social media. She enjoys crafting content that highlights our team, educates our patients, and builds connections across all three locations. Her favorite part of the job is finding fun, meaningful ways to keep our followers engaged. When she’s not working or studying, you can find her planning her next beach trip or exploring new places close to home.

Ashley Peaks,

Office Manager: Douglasville


Ashley is new to our Douglasville location and brings over 6 years of experience in management roles. She is passionate about helping others, exploring new challenges, and finding creative solutions. In her free time, she has a knack for adventure. Ashley’s journey is fueled by a drive to empower and support those around her, making a positive impact wherever she goes.

Destiny Boone

Optometric Assistant


Destiny is an Optometric Technician at our Woodstock location and a proud student at Kennesaw State University. She brings positive energy and a caring attitude to every patient interaction, helping ensure each visit is smooth, welcoming, and stress-free. Destiny loves connecting with patients and learning more about the world of eye care as she continues her education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring new places, and making the most of her college experience.

Tatyana Foster,

Optometric Assistant


Tatyana Foster is a committed Optometric Assistant with a strong passion for providing outstanding patient care. She is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment where every patient feels valued, informed, and well-cared for. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Tatyana enjoys exploring new and exciting travel destinations and channels her creativity through engaging social media content.

Kristen "Krissy" Lewis,

Optometric Assistant


Krissy is a dedicated Optometrist Technician with two years of hands-on experience supporting optometrists and delivering high-quality vision care services. She combines technical precision with a strong commitment to customer service, ensuring patients feel comfortable, supported, and confident throughout their eye care experience. Outside of work, Krissy enjoys nature walks, has an adventurous spirit when it comes to trying new foods, and loves spending quality time as a proud mom to her baby girl, Beanie.


David Shatto

Optometric Assistant


David is a senior Physics major at Georgia State University with a strong passion for science and a curiosity about how the eye works. He is eager to explore the field of optometry and bring his positive, patient-focused attitude to every interaction. David enjoys learning about the latest developments in eye care and is excited to gain hands-on experience assisting with exams and patient care. Outside of work, he loves hiking, spending time outdoors, and being around animals.

Kaitlyn has over three years of experience at Arbor Place Eye Care. From the moment she was introduced to the optometry field, it was love at first sight! With over six years of experience in the optical field, Tiara has become an invaluable member of our team. Her dedication to eye care is evident in every aspect of her work, from expertly guiding patients in selecting the perfect frames to handling technical tasks with precision. In addition to her optical expertise, Tiara is a talented, self-taught nail technician, an avid anime enthusiast, and a beauty expert. Above all, her most cherished role is being a proud mother to her beautiful daughter, who is the light of her life.

Jazmyn Simmons,

Office Manager: Douglasville



Jazmyn serves as the Assistant Office Manager at our Douglasville location, bringing over a year of experience in optometry and a passion for patient care. She’s dedicated to creating a welcoming, positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Known for her warm personality and attention to detail, Jazmyn helps keep the clinic running smoothly alongside Ashley. In her free time, she enjoys watching cartoons, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.

Miski Aress,

Optometric Assistant


Miski is a dedicated certified para-optometric technician with a background in biology and a passion for eye care. She thrives in the fast-paced world of optometry, from assisting with patient care to understanding the details of lenses and diagnostics. As a student at Agnes Scott College, she has a commitment to learning and hopes to expand her expertise in vision health. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her big family, exploring scientific research, and discovering new opportunities in healthcare.

Trey Frank,

Optometric Assistant


Trey is a thoughtful and compassionate Optometric Assistant who enjoys helping others feel seen—both visually and personally. He brings calm energy and a love for meaningful conversation to every patient interaction. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, music, and creative writing.

Apple Calledo,

Virtual Assistant


Apple is the warm and friendly virtual assistant at Arbor Place Eye Care in Douglasville. She’s from the Philippines and is usually the first person you’ll talk to when you call the office. With her kind voice, helpful attitude, and cheerful energy, she always does her best to make sure every patient feels welcomed and cared for.

Before becoming a virtual assistant, Apple worked as a Medical Technologist for three years. When she’s not working, she enjoys staying active with workouts and Pilates, discovering new Matcha cafés, and spending time with her two cats. She also loves going to the beach and hiking in the mountains whenever she gets the chance.
